I began as a maintenance data analyst/database manager in the U.S. Air Force, compiling performance statistics for a squadron of F-16 aircraft. I then earned a B.A. in Human Resource Management from Marietta College. There weren't many entry-level HR jobs, however, and in 2006, I began working for the Bureau of the Public Debt (now Bureau of the Fiscal Service), where I am still employed, today. I began my career as an Accounting Technician/Office Automation Support specialist, but later transferred into the Information Technology division where I have been for the past 12 years. I have experience working on the Help Desk, as well as working with the mainframe in Production Control, and for the last 7 years, as a Security Control Assessor/Project Lead.
Although the bulk of my career has been in Data Analysis and Information technology, my strongest talent is writing and editing. I've received a significant amount of positive feedback on my writing over the years, and have several years of experience writing, reading, editing, and proofreading technical and non-technical reports. I believe this would translate well into a number of areas within the workforce.
